Giclée art prints are extremely delicate and are to be handled with care. Here's a quick guide on how to protect your treasured pieces.
Be careful while removing the art print from the mailing tube. The print needs to be removed gently in order to avoid causing crimps, dents or tears in the paper. Upon removal, you are advised to place the art prints flat under-weight. Be sure to use a clean surface to protect the print from stains and smudges.
When handling the art print, you should try and touch the paper as little as possible. Be careful not to touch the print surface with bare hands as the oil and moisture from your skin may affect the print quality. To avoid smudges or scratches, hold prints by the edge and preferably wear cotton gloves while handling the prints.
Avoid displaying the prints in areas that receive direct sunlight or areas next to any other form of direct heat sources, regardless of the type of glass or framing used. Drastic changes in temperature, light, moisture and humidity will have a direct impact on the quality of the print.
We strongly recommend you to frame the art prints using 100% acid free mounting and matting materials to provide maximum protection to the print.
